Application Procedure
This form explains the steps you must take in applying to study at C.B.C.
- First complete an application form. Please ensure you read the questions carefully before completing the form and make sure you answer ALL questions relevant to your application so that your application is not delayed. If any question does not apply write N/A.
- An application fee must be enclosed with your application form (amount can be found on application form). Cheques can be made payable to Carmel Bible College. Without the application fee we will not continue to process your application.
- Two current passport sized photographs must be attached to your application form.
- Return the completed form and enclosures by post to Carmel Bible College at 817a Bath Road, Brislington, Bristol, BS4 5NL, United Kingdom.
- A recommendation form must be given to your senior pastor, a relative and a friend who has known you for longer than a year. These forms are confidential and are to be sent by the recommending persons directly to our offices at the above address. These need to be completed on the official Carmel Bible College recommendation forms (they will not be accepted in another form). We can only continue to process your application once all three recommendations have been returned to us in the correct form.
- Once we have received your fully completed application form, application fee, photos and three recommendation forms, your application will then be considered for approval.
- Upon acceptance of your application we will notify you via mail or email, and send you an acceptance letter and any other correspondence relevant to the course. Should your application be unsuccessful or should we have a question regarding the application then we will contact you with the details and you will be given an opportunity to appeal or provide the correct information. Please be aware that you may be required to have an official interview with the Dean.
Please note that we do NOT provide student accommodation.
Carmel Leadership Academy applicants only:
We require a personal testimony that should be typed or neatly printed on a separate sheet and consist of approx. 300-400 words. The admissions committee is looking primarily for content, but your grammar and presentation should be your best. Your testimony should indicate your current church activities/areas of leadership, ministerial experience, your calling/gifting experience with any accompanying prophecies given and the vision you hope to fulfil in coming to C.L.A.
In most cases we will require an interview before acceptance onto the Carmel Leadership Academy course.
International Students
Carmel Bible College welcomes international students, and we understand that moving to another country in order to study can be quite a big step to take. We therefore will try to help you as much as possible.
All classes are taught in English and you will need to ensure that you can read, write and comprehend the English language at a sufficient level in order to complete the course and avoid frustration. Part of Carmel Bible College’s requirements for applications are that you provide a copy of an IELTS certificate with a score of at least 5 or more. IELTS is an International English Language Testing System with centres all over the world. More details can be found on their website, www.ielts.org.
When mailing documents please allow ample time in order for the application process to be completed as correspondence can sometimes take several weeks to reach our office. We do not return international phonecalls or faxes, but would be happy to reply to you via email or post.
As of the end of March 2009 the UK Government have implemented a new points system in assessing students applying to come to the UK. Please familiarize yourself with these requirements before applying. Information can be found on the UK Border Agency website, www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk.
Please give yourself ample time to prepare and apply for your visa to avoid disappointment, as it can be a lengthy process. If you delay your visa application then the visa application processing time may overrun the course registration deadline.
Carmel Bible College do not provide accommodation and this will have to be arrange by the student.
