International Applicants
September 2011 was our last intake of international students, and due to new UK Border Agency regulations coming into effect in 2012, we will not enrolling international students under the current rules.
Should the UK Border Agency change these rules in future, we will once again be able to consider enrolling international students. The new changes are affecting many colleges in the UK who cannot meet the new criteria, however there will be other theological colleges and universities in the UK who will continue to accept international students.
If you are still planning on pursuing studying in the UK, we advise you to keep up to date with all the changes that the UK Border Agency are currently making for international students applying to study in the UK, by checking their website.
Which year do I apply for?
Carmel Bible College offers three course programmes:
- First Year
- Second Year
- Carmel Leadership Academy
First & Second Year:
Although some students choose to complete only the first year, Carmel Bible College is considered to be a two year course.
After completing two years you will be awarded with a Ministerial Development Training Diploma by Carmel Ministries International.
Various modules are taught in the first and second year and you can view a list of these in our prospectus or on the ‘Curriculum’ page of the CBC website. The modules taught may vary slightly for each academic year.
The academic year, including holiday periods, coincides with the Bristol County school dates. Each term consists of 8 weeks of teaching, with a combination of 24 lecture and 15 lecture subjects.
Classes run Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 12:30pm. There are strict attendance procedures and students are expected to be present this entire period. There is also a smart casual dress code that applies.
Lectures are taught using the New King James version of the Bible and we require students to own a copy.
In order to apply for the first and second year programme, please follow the instructions on the application procedure.
Carmel Leadership Academy:
Carmel Leadership Academy is a separate one year course and can only usually be applied for on completion of the two year Carmel Bible College course. Only 12 students are accepted into CLA in any one year and it is an intense and practical course.
In order to apply for Carmel Leadership Academy, please follow the instructions on the application procedure.
We require a personal testimony that should be typed or neatly printed on a separate sheet and consist of approx. 300-400 words. Your testimony should indicate your current church activities/areas of leadership, ministerial experience, your calling/gifting experience with any accompanying prophecies given and the vision you hope to fulfil in coming to C.L.A.
We also require a CLA Admissions Essay, please see the enclosed guidance. The admissions committee is looking primarily for content, but your grammar and presentation should be your best.
In most cases we will require an interview before acceptance onto the Carmel Leadership Academy course.
