Believer's Authority |
Year One of cbc: is foundational for any believer to know both the Word and the author of the Word. The first year is given to developing your personal walk with God to strengthen and deepen your personal relationship with Him. The seed of faith grows daily in the right environment, where its maturity depends on both the quality and quantity of these key
elements:
• time spent in the Word
• time spent in His presence
• time spent in fellowship
During Year One you will receive daily teaching of the Word in spirit and in truth by anointed men and women of God who come with a wealth of wisdom and experience. Each lecturer ministers from having walked the walk of faith for themselves, bringing revelational insight into their chosen subjects. Alongside the more conventional methods of lecturing you will be involved in times of praise and worship for increased intimacy with God, and for this a worship team is raised up from among the students. Three mornings a week are, before classes, dedicated to praise and worship.
Spending this time in God's presence is of paramount importance, preparing you to receive the Word as you put aside the cares and burdens of the day. You will be assigned to a prayer group which will meet once a week before classes. This will be an opportunity to pray with group members for the personal needs you share together. This is essential to the development of your own prayer life. There is also time for corporate prayer before classes and both of these opportunities to pray encourage you to be bold and to pray as you have never prayed before.
Psalmody
The Psalmody Worship Lifestyle Course, which is a course within the main course, gives practical and biblical teaching on the development of worship as a lifestyle. The resources are supplied by Psalmody's national office. The course brings understanding into this vital area of your
personal and church life, leading to a deeper relationship with God.
Upon completion of this course, you will receive a separate Psalmody
School Certificate at the cbc: graduation ceremony at the end of
the academic year.
