Having successfully completed all the first year requirements, you are strongly encouraged to return to cbc: and complete your second year of training. With the foundation laid, God is now able to build upon and draw out the plans and purposes He has for your life.

During the year, as you allow God to develop your gifts, you will step more surely into the calling He has placed on your life. You will be challenged as the Word goes to a deeper level and your expectations are raised. A line has now been drawn, a standard reached, and through second year you will be stretched and your faith expanded as you begin to live out what you have taken in.

You will be encouraged to be part of a mission team as an essential element in developing your life as a Christian. College mission teams go into European countries, such as Romania, and into certain African countries. These are testing times, physically, emotionally and spiritually, in which relationships will be strengthened through the challenge of every aspect of the mission.

The mission trip will also provide a valuable experience of team building as you learn to work together as a group and allow both individual and corporate skills to be sharpened and developed.

Another important element of second year is that teaching is given on how to prepare sermons. Emphasis is placed on both the content and the actual presentation in order that you minister with excellence.

Having prepared a message from a selection of chosen subjects, you will present your sermon to your class peers and one of the lecturers in what is fondly known at cbc: as LAB. Grades are given for content, presentation and delivery. This is a practical study in which your level of faith is increased as you learn to put your trust in God and flow in the anointing.

As you come to the end of this academic year, the training received and the Word that has been imparted become a stepping stone to the next level and season of your life, which, for some students, may be the carmel: leadership academy (cla:).
