Equipped for adventure
The life of a Christian is a life of adventure and at Carmel Bible College we have an established track record of helping over 33 countries embrace the challenge.
Carmel Bible College originally opened as Anchor Bible Training Centre (ABTC) in September 1997. In 2006 the name was changed to Carmel Bible College(CBC), becoming firmly integrated in the wider vision of Carmel Ministries international. Rev Gerri Di Somma and his wife Michelle and family came as missionaries to the UK from South Africa having been sent by God with these words defining their mission: Luke 9:2 ‘He sent them to preach the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.’
As a result Carmel Ministries international and Carmel Christian Centre were birthed and the Bible College established alongside the ministry to fulfil the equipping of the saints to preach and demonstrate the Kingdom.
Carmel Bible College focuses on training and equipping every believer with the life skills that God has made available through His Word. You can enrol for one, two or three years of full time studies.
You will receive excellent teaching from mature, anointed men and women of God. Each course covers 24 subjects which are presented in the classroom. On a practical level, you will be required to serve in various ministerial departments, making you not only a hearer but also a doer of the Word.
CBC also offers overseas missions trips for second and third year students. In addition, all students have opportunity to take part in local outreaches.
When you reach the third year, you will enrol in the Carmel Leadership Academy which is streamlined specifically for those called to the fivefold ministry. During this year your leadership skills will be developed with strategic teachings and a strong emphasis on teamwork and taking responsibility for leading in the Kingdom.
You will also take up positions in areas connected with your calling and be given opportunities to minister in a variety of situations within Carmel Christian Centre.
The vision at CBC is that every graduate qualifies in life skills and is able to operate in and fulfil God’s calling. In this way you will be equipped to succeed in the plans and purposes that God has predestined for you since the beginning of time.
CBC has, to date, graduated over 500 students representing 33 different nations. Our policy is to receive applications from born again Christians and to train, equip and send them back as graduates to the churches they have come from.
The decision to study at CBC will be one of the most important decisions you have ever made. Your life will be changed from the inside out as you step into the adventure of a life time. Although you will study one, two or three years, what you learn will be a resource that you can draw from every step of the way throughout the rest of your life.
At CBC theology is not the central focus. However, it is a college focused on the Bible and the revelation knowledge imparted from the Word of God in the course the studies you will be undertaking as a student.
CBC is God’s fivefold ministry vehicle in which to recognise, equip, train and establish you with the biblical life skills necessary to enable you to fulfil the calling God has placed upon your life. His ‘rhema word’ will help you leave the insecurity and failures of the past behind.
You will be discipled in the principles of faith and helped to become securely established and positioned in Christ. You will be assisted to become an able minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, not just in word but also in demonstration of the Spirit and power.
